The Washington Wizards<\/a> (10-33) have the worst record in the league. They are on an eight-game losing streak, having already suffered a 14-game losing streak earlier this season.<\/p>\n

The team is also dealing with multiple injuries. Their new star, Trae Young<\/a>, is yet to make his Wizards debut. And sharpshooter Khris Middleton<\/a> is having a rough season dealing with left foot soreness.<\/p>\n

Middleton was previously listed as questionable before Saturday’s game against the Charlotte Hornets<\/a>, but his status was updated<\/p>\n

Khris Middleton\u2019s Injury Status<\/p>\n

As per the NBA\u2019s latest injury list<\/a>, Middleton is listed as Out. The Wizards’ small forward is set to miss his 14th game this season, playing in 30 games. He played in the Wizards’ last game against the Denver Nuggets<\/a>, scoring 9 points on 3\/11 shooting.<\/p>\n

Middleton is tallying 9.8 points per game<\/a> on a 42.2% shooting. This is his lowest season average since his rookie year (6.1 ppg). He is also making less than one 3-pointer per game for the second time in his career.<\/p>\n

The 34-year-old forward won an NBA<\/a> championship in 2021 with the Milwaukee Bucks<\/a>, but he’s dealt with injuries extensively since then as he works to return and help the Wizards get out of their long losing streak.<\/p>\n

The Wizards Have Been Decimated<\/p>\n

The Wizards don\u2019t have the firepower to compete at a high level every night. They have no reliable veteran presence, especially after trading CJ McCollum.<\/p>\n

Last season\u2019s No. 2 pick, Alex Sarr, has been a bright spot. He has averaged 17.2 points, 7.4 rebounds and 2.1 blocks per game on 50.2% shooting.<\/p>\n

Rookie Tre Johnson has contributed 12.6 points per game on a 44.8% shooting, making an impressive 2.1 three-pointers per game on 39.3% from deep. Those bright spots offer hope for Wizards fans during another long season.<\/p>\n
