Lu Dort is one of the NBA’s most gritty, physical defensive players.<\/p>\n

He broke out a whole new strategy on Sunday when his Oklahoma City Thunder<\/a> were taking on the Toronto Raptors<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Toronto big guy Sandro Mamukelashvili caught the ball in the paint and was preparing to rise up toward the rim.<\/p>\n

Dort rotated over and leaped off the ground, ready to potentially block a shot.<\/p>\n

Mamukelashvili saw Dort coming, though, and didn’t release the ball.<\/p>\n

That led to Dort landing on the center’s shoulders.<\/p>\n

Mamukelashvili did a real solid to Dort by essentially not moving and allowing Dort to figure out his way down, versus flipping over a player who tried harder to play through the contact.<\/p>\n

It was actually the Raptors who got the last laugh.<\/p>\n

Toronto stunned OKC on the Thunder’s home floor, 103-101.<\/p>\n

Dort will just be glad he didn’t get flipped over and land in a much worse way after a play like this, where so many things could’ve potentially gone wrong.<\/p>\n
