Though he initially was questionable to play Sunday with right knee soreness, Steph Curry<\/a> led the Warriors with 26 points in a 111-85 win over the Minnesota Timberwolves<\/a> at Target Center.<\/p>\n

However, Golden State now faces a quick turnaround ahead of tomorrow’s second half of a back-to-back in Minneapolis.<\/p>\n

With veterans Al Horford and De’Anthony Melton not expected to play Monday due to injury management, Curry was asked postgame if he plans to play tomorrow.<\/p>\n

“If everything goes well, yeah,” Curry told reporters. “With the recovery and all that between tonight, minutes weren’t crazy, so hopefully it will respond well.”<\/p>\n

Curry also explained what happened that caused the knee soreness on Saturday, when the Warriors’ first game against the Timberwolves originally was scheduled but was postponed due to recent events<\/a> in Minneapolis.<\/p>\n

“Something flared up yesterday when we came over to get a workout in,” Curry said. “It was super weird. Like, I’ve had stuff going on — quads and whatnot — but it was something that I hadn’t felt before, so I definitely took advantage of the day off to get right, but hopefully that continues.”<\/p>\n

After Sunday’s win, Curry has played in 37 of Golden State’s 47 games this season. The Warriors are now 22-15 when their two-time NBA MVP plays and 4-6 when he’s inactive.<\/p>\n

Safe to say, the already short-handed Warriors will hope Curry feels well enough to play on Monday as they seek a second win in two days over the Timberwolves.<\/p>\n
