The Charlotte Hornets<\/a> dominated their competition once again, blowing out the Philadelphia 76ers<\/a> in a 37-point home victory Monday.<\/p>\n

Charlotte led for 93% of the game and at one point even opened up to a 50-point lead.<\/p>\n

Eight Hornets finished in double-figures, including Brandon Miller who scored a game-high 30. Off the bench, rookie center Ryan Kalkbrenner scored 13 points to go along with nine rebounds, three assists and three blocks, helping the Hornets dominate on the glass.<\/p>\n

Charlotte finished with 53 rebounds, outrebounding the 76ers by 20, 53-33. Additionally, the Hornets’ offense thrived off of consistent ball movement, as Charlotte racked up 34 assists on 47 made field goals.<\/p>\n

Following the game, head coach Charles Lee spoke<\/a> about Charlotte’s offense, citing ball movement as the key to their offensive production. “Our offense just continues to come alive because of all the passing,” said Lee. “The ball is moving, people are moving (…) I’m just loving what we’re giving each other on both ends of the floor. There’s a connectedness.”<\/p>\n

Charlotte also kept Philadelphia in check on defense, allowing them to shot just 39% from the field and 30% from three-point range.<\/p>\n

With the win, the Hornets have already matched their win total from last season (19) before the All-Star break.<\/p>\n

Additionally, Charlotte moved within a half-game of 11th place in the Eastern Conference, closing in on the 10th and final Play-In Tournament spot.<\/p>\n
