CLEVELAND, Ohio \u2014 The Cavs are making a roster change. <\/p>\n
Sources tell cleveland.com that the team is waiving forward Chris Livingston, one of three players who had been on a two-way contract this season. <\/p>\n
An Akron native who signed a two-way with the Cavaliers in late October, Livingston recently suffered a hand injury that will likely keep him out for about a month \u2014 an injury that prompted Tuesday\u2019s move. <\/p>\n
Sources say team decision-makers are currently in the process of figuring out how they will fill that third two-way slot, scouring the G League to identify the right fit.<\/p>\n
Nae\u2019Qwan Tomlin and Luke Travers remain on two-ways. <\/p>\n
During his brief time in Cleveland, Livingston appeared in just three NBA games. His most extensive action came on Nov. 24 \u2014 a night he scored seven points in 14 minutes for the undermanned Cavaliers during a 110-99 loss to the Toronto Raptors. <\/p>\n
Most of Livingston\u2019s season has been with the G League\u2019s Charge. <\/p>\n
Prior to joining the Cavs organization, Livingston spent two seasons in Milwaukee, bouncing between the NBA\u2019s Bucks and their G League affiliate.<\/p>\n
A McDonald\u2019s All-American in 2022 and a member of the All-SEC Freshman Team while at Kentucky in 2023, Livingston was selected by Milwaukee with the No. 58 overall pick of the 2023 NBA Draft.<\/p>\n
During his NBA career, the 22-year-old Livingston has played 45 games, averaging 1.4 points and 1.3 rebounds.
