SAN DIEGO — The Los Angeles Clippers will have a presence on the All-Star stage this February, as forward Yanic Niederhouser was selected to represent the organization in the NBA G League Rising Stars showcase during All-Star Weekend.<\/p>\n
The honor highlights Niederhouser\u2019s rapid development within the Clippers\u2019 system. He has been a standout for the San Diego Clippers, averaging 14.7 points, 10 rebounds and 1.4 assists while shooting 57.1% from the field, establishing himself as one of the organization\u2019s premier prospects. His performance has also earned him opportunities at the NBA level, where he has appeared in 26 games with Los Angeles this season, averaging 3.5 points, 2.1 rebounds and 0.3 assists on 64.8% shooting. That includes a career-high 16 points in a January 14 game against the Washington Wizards where he shot 100% from the field and had five revounds and two assists as well. Reddish, 26, brings proven NBA production and wing versatility. He appeared in 33 games with the Los Angeles Lakers last season before being waived and has played in 316 career NBA games, making 169 starts with stops in Atlanta, New York, Portland and Los Angeles. Across his career, he averages 8.5 points, 2.7 rebounds, 1.2 assists and 1.0 steals in 23.1 minutes per game, scoring in double figures 97 times, including 20 games of 20-plus points and two with 30-plus, while recording multiple steals in 70 contests.<\/p>\n
With Niederhouser earning All-Star Weekend recognition and Reddish joining the Clippers\u2019 system, the organization now boasts both a rising prospect and an established NBA talent in the spotlight as the season progresses.
