Aaron Gordon is facing another extended absence.<\/p>\n
Gordon will be reevaluated in four to six weeks after reaggravating his strained right hamstring in Friday\u2019s game at Milwaukee. Gordon first strained his hamstring in Denver\u2019s win in Houston on Nov. 21. He returned on Jan. 4.<\/p>\n
\u201c(He) really held us down when he came back and allowed us to play how we always play, to a point, off the elbows, all those things,\u201d Nuggets coach David Adelman said before Thursday\u2019s game against the Brooklyn Nets. \u201cIt hurts the team, but I\u2019m more concerned about him, having to restart this whole process, find the motivation to get back. We know he\u2019ll be back before the end of the season, and he\u2019ll get back to being who he is. It\u2019s just an unfortunate thing in a season of many unfortunate things.\u201d<\/p>\n
The game against the Milwaukee Bucks was the second time Gordon played on both ends of a back-to-back since his return.\u00a0Gordon has played in 23 of Denver\u2019s first 47 games and likely won\u2019t return until late February or March at the earliest.\u00a0The Nuggets started Peyton Watson and Spencer Jones in the frontcourt alongside Jonas Valanciunas, while Gordon and Cam Johnson remained out with injuries.<\/p>\n
\u201cThat\u2019s a very unselfish person. Not being able to help his teammates and win games is a big part of who he is. That\u2019s why his jersey will hang here. He\u2019s where he should be \u2013 frustrated, pissed off, (thinking) \u2018why, again?\u2019\u201d Adelman said.<\/p>\n
