Michael Scotto added some new insight to that interest in Kessler.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">From Scotto:<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">The Washington Wizards are the latest team, per ESPN\u2019s Tim MacMahon, interested in Utah Jazz enter\u00a0Walker Kessler. Previously, the Indiana Pacers and Los Angeles Lakers have also been linked to the 24-year-old center.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">\u2026<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">Regarding the recently reported Wizards interest in Kessler, while he\u2019s a player liked by members of Washington\u2019s front office, the Wizards are building around\u00a0Alex Sarr\u00a0as their center of the future, league sources told HoopsHype.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">This makes sense for the Wizards, who have a rising star in Alex Sarr. If they view him as the future at the center position, then Kessler doesn\u2019t make sense as a player for them to pursue. If they could get him for cheap, maybe, but they know that Utah can match any offer.<\/p>\n<p>Advertisement<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">It\u2019s also good news for the Jazz, who are surely hoping to get Kessler on a reasonable contract. We know that Kessler and his camp had been asking for an amount that Utah did not want to pay, and left him the option to play the market. The only issue with this strategy is that it only takes one team to make a big offer. If that happens, will the Jazz blink? Knowing that, it makes news like this good for the Jazz.
