The Houston Rockets<\/a> have been playing some good basketball this season despite some key injuries they’ve had, but when you have a player like Kevin Durant<\/a> on your team, you’ll always have a chance. Durant is having another stellar season<\/a>, and he was just named to another All-Star team, adding to his accomplishments throughout his career.<\/p>\n

The Rockets are set to face the Indiana Pacers next, and Durant is on the injury report with a left ankle sprain. Durant has been relatively healthy this season, which has been good news for the Rockets. If he isn’t able to play, it’ll have to be next man up for the team.<\/p>\n

Kevin Durant’s injury status vs. Pacers<\/p>\n

Durant is listed as out<\/a> against the Pacers, so it will have to be up to their depth to fill his absence. It’s safe to say that Durant has put the team on his back a lot this season, and head coach Ime Udoka has not been much of a fan. As much as a bucket that he is, he’s also one of the older players on the team, and Udoka doesn’t want to have to always rely on him, which is understandable.<\/p>\n

That means other players need to step up, such as Alperen Sengun and Amen Thompson. The Rockets have been missing a key scorer all season with Fred VanVleet sidelined because of an ACL injury,<\/a> and it’s uncertain if he’ll play later in the season if they make a postseason run.<\/p>\n

As of now, the Rockets have to rely on what they have now, and that’s still enough to be competitive in the Western Conference.
