NBA issues bombshell penalty after head coach Jason Kidd unloads on officiating publicly<\/p>\n

The Dallas Mavericks\u2019 head coach, Jason Kidd, was earlier fined by the league, and the gigantic amount has created shockwaves throughout the NBA. Kidd was fined $35,000 for publicly criticizing and using vile comments about the officiating, saying that he doesn\u2019t care what people think or say. \u201cI don\u2019t give a damn about the criticism. Criticism? That\u2019s your opinion\u201d.\u201cYou guys write that blasphemy,\u201d Kidd said. \u201cThat\u2019s not … I\u2019ve done this. I\u2019ve played this game. I\u2019ve played it at a very high level. I know what I\u2019m doing\u201d, Jason Kidd lashed out while speaking to the media outlets after the match. Right after his statement, the NBA issued a memorandum whereby they charged him with a hefty fine to compensate for his blasphemous comments on the officiating. <\/p>\n

Jason Kidd’s frustration escalated from Cooper Flagg’s missed foul call by referees<\/p>\n

Saturday\u2019s game featured Cooper Flagg against Amen Thompson, where Flagg drove against the Rockets\u2019 guard, thereby falling off the ground and missing a contested layup. Kidd said, \u201cI saw a foul. Officials Sean, Simone, and Jason Goldenberg were awful tonight. The referees were unacceptable. It’s a foul, and he needs to be at the free-throw line. Now, does he make both? That’s up to the player, but the referees did not do their job. They were terrible\u201d. Kidd wasn\u2019t satisfied with the referee\u2019s decision, and he said, \u201cWe\u2019re fine. We\u2019re going to play. We\u2019re not complaining. But at some point, there\u2019s got to be a review. I understand he drives the ball and gets slapped \u2014 that\u2019s a foul. So just being consistent. The referees weren\u2019t consistent \u201d.\u201cHe\u2019s going to continue to keep going until he hears the whistle. There were a lot of fouls missed with this young man.
