The New York Knicks had some iconic cheerleaders in their corner Sunday night after The Fall and Rise of Reggie Dinkins<\/a> stars Tracy Morgan<\/a> and Daniel Radcliffe<\/a>\u00a0cheered on the NBA <\/a>team from the sidelines as they battled the Los Angeles Lakers.<\/p>\n

Morgan, who starred on\u00a030 Rock<\/a>, is a longtime fan of the Knicks, so it wasn’t much of a surprise to see him in attendance in the high-stakes games against the Lakers<\/a>\u00a0at Madison Square Garden. Morgan and the Harry Potter icon graced the arena’s area known as Celebrity Row\u00a0to witness the intense showdown, at one point even cheering on fans as they took part in a contest that involved tossing a football into the hoop for points. It’s far from uncommon to spot Morgan in one of those courtside seats.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Before Sunday’s game \u2014 which ended with a Knicks victory (112-100) \u2014 the\u00a0NBA on NBC official Instagram account\u00a0shared a fun video that featured Morgan talking about his dream of one-day seeing the Knicks take home another championship.<\/p>\n

“There’s nothing like being a fan of the New York Knickerbockers,” Morgan began in the\u00a0Instagram video<\/a>\u00a0before his hallmark humor kicked in. “If you sit where I sit, you can even talk trash to the other team and the refs, personally. I highly recommend it.”<\/p>\n

While Morgan wouldn’t trade his Knicks jersey for the world, he was keen to admit the one hurdle of being a fan of the New York team.<\/p>\n

“There’s only one problem with being a Knicks fan: I was four years old the last time we won a championship. A baby!” Morgan exclaimed. “We beat L.A. in ’73. But since then, I had to watch the Lakers win 11 titles!”\u00a0<\/p>\n

“Eleven!” Morgan reiterated in disbelief, showing some respect to Lakers icons like Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Magic Johnson, Shaquelle O’ Neil, and the late Kobe Bryant<\/a> for their role in building the Lakers’ esteemed victory streak. Still, the 30 Rock icon remained hung up on the “eleven” thing, adding, “That is too many championships!”<\/p>\n

Besides 1973 being the last time the Knicks beat the Lakers in a championship, it’s also the last time the team won the championship overall.\u00a0<\/p>\n

“Don’t get me wrong, we got legends, too. But this year? This year, man; it feels different. And on nights like tonight, there’s no better place to be than the world’s most famous arena,” Morgan said of Madison Square Garden. “And you know we\u2019re going to be loud. Because we\u2019re New Yorkers, and silence makes us uncomfortable.”<\/p>\n
