The three-team deal in which the Bulls landed Jaden Ivey<\/a> from the Pistons is now official<\/a>. They also acquired another guard, Mike Conley<\/a>, from the Timberwolves but don\u2019t expect Conley to play at all for Chicago. According to insider Chris Haynes (Twitter link<\/a>), Conley and the Bulls will work on a \u201cproper path to move forward.\u201d That means Conley could be re-routed in another trade before Thursday\u2019s deadline or he\u2019ll have his contract bought out so that he can try to hook on with a contender after clearing waivers.<\/p>\n

They also agreed<\/a> to another big deal on Tuesday, forwarding Nikola Vucevic<\/a> to Boston and acquiring guard Anfernee Simons<\/a> with some draft picks involved. The Bulls aren\u2019t through wheeling and dealing, according to Julia Poe of the Chicago Tribune<\/a>. The front office is trying to move Coby White<\/a> as a blue-chip trade asset to leverage contending teams in the Western Conference out of trade picks or young talent. White knows he could be the next player to go. \u201cI think sometimes there\u2019s a narrative \u2014 just in the NBA but in general \u2014 that it\u2019s part of the business,\u201d White said. \u201cBut we\u2019re still human. \u2026 Vooch was a locker room leader. Seeing him go, it was kind of tough for probably a lot of guys. You\u2019re gonna feel something, right? We\u2019re all human. But we still got a game and we got a job to do, so we\u2019re going to go out there and do it.\u201d
\nAfter getting blasted by the Heat, the undermanned Bulls were pounded on Tuesday by the Bucks, 131-115. Jalen Smith<\/a> refused to offer off-court distractions as an excuse, Joe Cowley of the Chicago Sun Times<\/a> writes. \u2018\u2018[We lost] high-value players, players that played a lot of minutes for us, but it\u2019s the NBA,\u2019\u2019 he said. \u2018\u2018It\u2019s the job we signed up for. We\u2019ve got to be ready to play at any point and time. It\u2019s a next-man-up mentality.\u2019\u2019
\nZach Collins<\/a> could be done for the season, coach Billy Donovan told Cowley and other media members. Collins injured the toe on Dec. 27 and hasn\u2019t played since. \u2018\u2018That could happen,\u201d Donovan said of shutting down the big man. \u201cAs they put him two more weeks into the boot, I think how he comes out of that is going to tell a lot. He\u2019s going to need a ramp-up period in order to run. .\u2009.\u2009. . The whole thing right now has been trying to prevent surgery.\u2019\u2019 Prior to that injury, he missed the first six weeks of the season with a wrist injury.
\nDalen Terry<\/a> has never carved out a major role since being drafted in the first round in 2022. He\u2019s temporarily playing more due to all the roster upheaval. He had six points and two blocks against the Bucks. \u201cThe human in me would say it\u2019s tough but you just have to understand that this is what you get called upon for, so I\u2019m just doing my best to try to stay ready every time I get a chance to play, and I think I\u2019ve done a pretty good job of that,\u201d Terry told Cowley<\/a>. \u2018If you would have asked me this when I was a rookie, it would have been hard. But me being four years in, I know what it is.
