For the second straight NBA trade deadline, former UCLA Bruin<\/a> forward Kyle Anderson is on the move. The Jazz traded Anderson<\/a>, along with Georges Niang, Walter Clayton Jr. and Taylor Hendricks to the Memphis Grizzlies<\/a> in exchange for forward Jaren Jackson Jr.<\/p>\n Anderson has been on the move a lot in recent years. In the summer of 2024 he was traded from the\u00a0 Minnesota Timberwolves to the Golden State Warriors<\/a> in a six-team trade centered around Klay Thompson. He was then traded from the Warriors to the Miami Heat<\/a> in the Jimmy Butler trade last deadline and then Anderson was traded again in the summer by the Heat to the Jazz<\/a>, helping Miami land another former UCLA Bruin, Norman Powell<\/a>.<\/p>\n Anderson has been in the league over a decade, getting drafted in 2014 by the San Antonio Spurs<\/a> with the final pick of the first round. Since then, Anderson has played for six teams. This will be Anderson\u2019s second stint with the Grizzlies, playing with the team from 2018-2022.\u00a0<\/p>\n This season Anderson has put up 7.1 points per game, 3.3 rebounds and 3.1 assists. Anderson has had a strong shooting season, as he\u2019s at 52.3% from the field and 60% from three but has taken only five three point attempts this season.<\/p>\n Before turning pro, Anderson spent two seasons with the UCLA Bruins<\/a>, going a combined 53-19 with UCLA in Ben Howland\u2019s final season and Steve Alford\u2019s first season. Over his 71 games with UCLA, Anderson averaged 12.2 points, 8.7 rebounds and 5.0 assists, being a very impactful Bruin from 2012-2014.<\/p>\n
