Ja Morant made his stance on trade rumors clear last month. The star guard would like to remain with the Memphis Grizzlies<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Both sides have shown clear signs of frustration throughout the 2025-2026 NBA<\/a> season, but they\u2019ve also been going back and forth on what the future looks like. The Grizzlies\u2019 phone lines have been open, but the market for the high-flying guard hasn\u2019t been demanding.<\/p>\n

With the trade deadline less than two days away, the Grizzlies are reportedly having ongoing discussions<\/a> with several teams.<\/p>\n

Sacramento Kings<\/a><\/p>\n

Despite having the record of a rebuilding team, the Kings sure don\u2019t like to move like that. They\u2019ve gone for big names over the past few years and employ several former All-Stars, who have plenty of gas left in the tank.<\/p>\n

At this point, the Kings are looking to offload Zach LaVine, DeMar DeRozan, and Domantas Sabonis. They\u2019ll likely part ways with Russell Westbrook when his contract is up as well. Still, the Kings seem to have an interest in players over picks. They acquired DeAndre Hunter last week. They like Jonathan Kuminga, and apparently, Morant shouldn\u2019t be ruled out.<\/p>\n

Miami Heat<\/a><\/p>\n

The South Beach squad has developed a reputation for going star hunting when players are made available. Currently, the Heat are prioritizing a run at Giannis Antetokounmpo, but that situation has been blurry since the start of the 2025-2026 season.<\/p>\n

The Heat reportedly like the idea of being a fresh start for Morant, who is amid a down year by his standards. Miami isn\u2019t afraid to deal, but it\u2019s clear that landing Antetokounmpo will remain their top priority until that situation is sorted.<\/p>\n

Milwaukee Bucks<\/a><\/p>\n

The Grizzlies aren\u2019t looking for an Antetokounmpo trade. Milwaukee\u2019s interest certainly stems from the idea that perhaps bringing Morant to Wisconsin could convince Giannis to stay. The Bucks are willing to move the superstar forward for the right price, but it\u2019s not something they are eager to do.<\/p>\n

It could all come down to the message the Bucks receive from the former MVP. If he\u2019s open to playing with Morant, and that addition could buy the Bucks more time with him, then the move is logical as long as it comes at a reasonable price. If the Bucks can\u2019t get a strong commitment from Antetokounmpo, then they would be best just focusing on getting the best package available and resetting the franchise by looking for a new face to build around.<\/p>\n
