Draymond Green<\/a> wasn\u2019t sure if Tuesday marked his final game with the Warriors, so he delivered comments worthy of a farewell address (Twitter video link<\/a>), writes Dalton Johnson of NBC Sports Bay Area<\/a>. Green made an unexpected appearance at the podium after the game ended to talk to reporters about what his time in Golden State has meant to him, just in case he gets moved by Thursday\u2019s deadline.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think a lot of people want to know how I feel about it, like am I upset about it? I\u2019m not at all,\u201d Green said. \u201cIf that\u2019s what\u2019s best for this organization, that\u2019s what\u2019s best for the organization. I\u2019m not like, \u2018Oh man, they f\u2013ked me over or something like that. I don\u2019t really feel that way. If you would have told me 13 and a half years ago, like, \u2018Yo, I\u2019m going to hand you this sheet of paper and you can sign it to be in a place for 13 and a half years, would you sign it?\u2019 And I would have signed it faster than you can blink.<\/p>\n

\u201cSo what do I have to sit and worry about? What do I have to be upset about? I\u2019ve been here for 13 and a half years. That\u2019s longer than probably 98 percent of NBA players have been in one place, this guy from Saginaw has been in a place for 13 and a half years.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

Green\u2019s name has popped up recently in trade rumors, particularly in the Warriors\u2019 negotiations with the Bucks for Giannis Antetokounmpo<\/a>. There\u2019s an assumption that Milwaukee wouldn\u2019t keep him, so it will likely be a three-team deal or he\u2019ll be moved elsewhere in a separate trade. Green holds a $27.7MM player option for next season, so he\u2019ll have a say in determining his future regardless of whether he\u2019s traded or not.<\/p>\n

On Tuesday, he was focused on the incredible career he\u2019s had with the Warriors and the legacy of being a four-time NBA champion.<\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t know that it ends at 13 and a half, but if it does, what a f\u2013king run it has been,\u201d Green continued. \u201cI\u2019ll take the fine for it. What a f\u2013king run it has been. So that\u2019s just how I feel. I don\u2019t sleep well after games. So if I lose sleep tonight, I promise y\u2019all it\u2019s not because I think I\u2019m betrayed. I just don\u2019t really sleep well after the game.<\/p>\n

\u201cBut I\u2019m blessed, I\u2019m lucky, I\u2019m grateful. \u2026 I don\u2019t know that it ends or whatnot. I don\u2019t. We\u2019ll all see. But if it does, it does. All good things must come to an end at some point. That\u2019s kind of my sentiment and how I feel.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

Meeting with reporters before Tuesday\u2019s game, Steve Kerr said this is the first time since he took over as head coach that Green\u2019s name has \u201creally been mentioned\u201d in trade discussions, per Sam Gordon of The San Francisco Chronicle<\/a> (subscription required). \u201cThis has definitely been more difficult than most,\u201d Kerr added. \u201cLast year\u2019s (trade deadline) was very difficult as well. We\u2019ve had a lot of years where nobody was really overly concerned about anything, but these last two years, there\u2019s been a lot of chatter and it puts guys on edge for sure.\u201d Green said the idea of leaving Golden State \u201cgot real\u201d for him when Kerr asked how his wife is handling the trade speculation.
\nStephen Curry<\/a>, who\u2019s considered to be the Warriors\u2019 lone untouchable player<\/a> in Antetokounmpo trade talks, told Howard Beck of The Ringer<\/a> that he wants to finish his career as a one-team player. \u201cI never would see myself be in a situation where I\u2019m chasing another championship anywhere else but here,\u201d Curry said. \u201cThere\u2019s a certain mentality that we\u2019re all trying to figure this out together. But it doesn\u2019t pacify the desire to win.\u201d
