SALT LAKE CITY \u2014 On the eve of the NBA’s trade deadline, the Jazz were indeed not finished making moves.<\/p>\n
The front office made two separate transactions on Wednesday that were not earth-shattering by any means, but could allow the team to make another move before the 1 p.m. MST deadline Thursday.<\/p>\n
Utah first acquired point guard Lonzo Ball and two second-round picks from the Cleveland Cavaliers in a cap-clearing move for Cleveland. The Jazz followed it up by trading center Jock Landale to the Atlanta Hawks just one day after he was sent to Utah from Memphis alongside Jaren Jackson Jr.<\/a><\/p>\n The Jazz received cash considerations for Landale, according to ESPN’s Shams Charania.<\/p>\n Ball is expected to be waived by Utah, which would allow for more roster flexibility if the Jazz do decide that they want to make another move.<\/p>\n With an open roster spot and more draft pick in their arsenal, Utah could still be in business with other teams around the league as they look to either bolster their roster or take on an expiring contract and possibly add to their draft capital.<\/p>\n Essentially a three-team trade that allows Jazz to pick up two seconds, the Hawks to land a productive center in Landale and the Cavaliers to shed significant salary and tax savings while bringing in James Harden, Keon Ellis and Dennis Schroder to fortify the roster this week. https:\/\/t.co\/Jed7L9sNr6<\/a><\/p>\n \u2014 Shams Charania (@ShamsCharania) February 4, 2026<\/a>
