Second, 2014 NBA MVP Kevin Durant<\/a> shocked the world when he announced leaving the Oklahoma City Thunder<\/a> to join the Warriors.<\/p>\n Durant instantly went from a fan favorite to one of the most criticized players in the league<\/a>. However, before KD\u2019s infamous move to the Warriors, one NBA legend believed that the Dubs already had a \u2018smaller Kevin Durant\u2019 on the roster.<\/p>\n Warriors superstar Stephen Curry<\/a> is viewed as the best shooter of all time. Many believe Curry is one-of-one and he cannot be compared to any other star.<\/p>\n After all, no NBA player utilized the three-point shot as much as Steph<\/a> did during his rise to stardom in the 2010s.<\/p>\n Despite that, the late Los Angeles Lakers legend Jerry West<\/a>, who was also the Warriors\u2019 advisor in 2014, revealed Curry\u2019s game reminded him of Durant.<\/p>\n \u201cHe\u2019s unique in a lot of ways, and he kind of reminds me a little bit of a smaller Kevin Durant. He\u2019s so much fun to watch,\u201d West told SLAM Magazine<\/a>.<\/p>\n He added: \u201cThere are three or four players in the league I\u2019d pay to see play, and he is one of them. The other thing I don\u2019t think people realize is what a great competitor he is. <\/p>\n \u201cHe was also raised really well by his parents; he\u2019s very grounded.
