The first, Utah is apparently waiving Chris Boucher.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1nfb3k4i _16w9vov1 _16w9vov0 ls9zuh1\">To make the deal happen, the Jazz sent Boston John Tonje to make everything work.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1nfb3k4i _16w9vov1 _16w9vov0 ls9zuh1\">Why would Utah do this? In the deal, the Jazz were able to pick up the Denver Nuggets\u2019 2027 second-round pick.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1nfb3k4i _16w9vov1 _16w9vov0 ls9zuh1\">It\u2019s a small move, but a smart one. Utah picks up a trade asset, albeit a small one, for a player who was on the Salt Lake City Stars all season. They make the deal happen because it helps the Celtics with salary cap issues.
