The Golden State Warriors<\/a> felt they had no choice but to trade Stephen Curry\u2019s beloved 25-year-old teammate on Wednesday night.<\/p>\n

With the franchise planning for its future while also being in win-now mode, it executed a deal<\/a> that sent the 6-foot-9 forward to the Toronto Raptors<\/a> for an upcoming draft pick that could be valuable in due time.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Golden State Warriors have traded center Trayce Jackson-Davis to the Toronto Raptors for a 2026 second-round pick via the Lakers<\/a>,\u201d ESPN\u2019s Shams Charania reported on X\/Twitter.<\/p>\n

The Dubs finalized the trade<\/a> on Thursday evening.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Warriors have traded center\/forward Trayce Jackson-Davis to the Toronto Raptors in exchange for a 2026 second-round draft pick (via the Los Angeles Lakers),\u201d the organization said in an official press release.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cJackson-Davis, 25, owns career averages of 6.6 points, 4.6 rebounds, 1.3 assists, and 15.1 minutes in 166 games (54 starts) over three seasons with Golden State. He appeared in nine playoff games (three starts) in the 2025 postseason, hitting 16-of-18 from the field (88.9%) and averaging 4.1 points and 2.3 rebounds in 8.9 minutes per game.\u201d<\/p>\n

Jackson-Davis was an easy player to root for in the Bay. The Indiana product never filled up the stat sheet, but ran the floor hard, competed on the defensive end, and maximized the scoring opportunities he was given.<\/p>\n

The former second-round pick will be a valuable addition to a Raptors squad having a better season than some anticipated.<\/p>\n
