The Philadelphia 76ers<\/a>traded a young up and coming talent<\/a>. The 76ers decided to ship off\u00a0 second-year guard Jared McCain to the Oklahoma City Thunder<\/a> in exchange for four draft picks.<\/p>\n

The breakdown of picks heading to Philly look like this:<\/p>\n

One 2026 first round draft pick via Houston Rockets<\/p>\n

One 2027 second round pick and<\/p>\n

Two\u00a02028 second round draft picks.<\/p>\n

Reviews of the deal were mixed from Sixers fans. Plenty were upset to see the guard traded and given up on so quickly, while others are a little confused and left wondering what the move could mean for the future.<\/p>\n

How 76ers could potentially land Giannis Antetokounmpo over the offseason<\/p>\n

Milwaukee Bucks<\/a> star forward Giannis Antetokounmpo was not moved prior to the trade deadline, and thus will finish out the 2025-2026 with the Bucks.<\/p>\n

This sets up the upcoming summer and offseason to be primetime for Giannis gossip and drama. If he is ultimately traded, the winner of the Greek Freak sweepstakes could position their franchise for a title while also drastically impacting the rest of the league.<\/p>\n

What we do know right now is that a team that wants to be taken seriously as a trade partner with Milwaukee will have to come to the trade\u00a0 table with all the fixings.<\/p>\n

A minimum requirement to get a seat at this table seems to be:<\/p>\n

The ability to take on the\u00a0contract of that magnitude that Giannis will be bringing with him (76ers would need to unload Paul George or Joel Embiid contract — Giannis is receiving about 62 million annually through the 2027-2028 season)<\/p>\n

So, yes, if they want to get aggressive this upcoming offseason, the Sixers would absolutely have a seat at that trade table in Milwaukee.<\/p>\n
