It will be his first career appearance in the contest.<\/p>\n<p>Maxey, who is currently second in Sixers franchise history in made 3-pointers,\u00a0 will become the first Sixers player to participate in contest since Kyle Korver in 2005.<\/p>\n<p>In the contest, Maxey will compete against Devin Booker (Phoenix), Kon Knueppel (Charlotte), Damian Lillard (Portland), Donovan Mitchell (Cleveland), Jamal Murray (Denver), Bobby Portis Jr. (Milwaukee), and Norman Powell (Miami).<\/p>\n<p>In a switch up from the usual order of events, the 3-point contest will be the opening event on All-Star Saturday night, followed by the Shooting Stars competition and then the dunk contest.
