It\u2019s looking as if Lonzo Ball<\/a> won\u2019t be spending any time in a Utah Jazz<\/a> uniform after being traded to the Jazz from the Cleveland Cavaliers<\/a> ahead of last week\u2019s NBA trade deadline. The Jazz are expected to waive the former UCLA Bruin<\/a>, letting Ball choose his next stop.<\/p>\n Ball has struggled this season, shooting 30.1% from the field and averaging only 4.6 points per game with the Cavaliers this season, but there\u2019s still interest in the former No. 2 overall pick. Bleacher Report\u2019s Jake Fischer<\/a> says that the Golden State Warriors<\/a> have \u201csights set on adding Lonzo Ball\u201d once he hits the buyout market.<\/p>\n The buyout market deadline is March 1, giving Ball a few weeks to flesh out his decision. Joining the Warriors, Ball would back up Hall of Famer Stephen Curry and join Brandin Podziemski, De\u2019Anthony Melton and Moses Moody in the Warriors\u2019 backcourt.<\/p>\n Golden State is currently 28-25 on the season and sit in eighth place in the Western Conference. Warriors Wire writer Tommy Call III<\/a> discussed Ball potentially joining the Warriors.<\/p>\n \u201cDespite the NBA trade deadline coming and going with the Golden State Warriors<\/a> landing Kristaps Porzingis in a blockbuster deal, Mike Dunleavy Jr. and Steve Kerr appear to be staying busy as the post-deadline buyout market heats up,\u201d Call wrote. \u201cAfter trading Jonathan Kuminga, Buddy Hield and Trayce Jackson-Davis at the deadline, the Warriors have a pair of open roster spots. With one of the spots set for two-way guard Pat Spencer, the Warriors could add Ball to their final remaining roster spot.\u201d<\/p>\n
