Two of the West\u2019s best are set to clash on Tuesday. The Spurs (36-16, 2nd in West) have their eyes set on a title. That means taking down more experienced contenders, such as the Lakers (32-20, 5th in West). Los Angeles, even with Luka Doncic sidelined, isn\u2019t lacking in star power.<\/p>\n

Which players will step up tonight when these rivals take the court? The Spurs are favored by 8.5 points (-115)<\/a> over the Lakers, with the over\/under set at 227.5 points. Here are two of the top prop bet picks on DraftKings Sportsbook<\/a> for Tuesday\u2019s San Antonio vs. Los Angeles matchup.<\/p>\n

Stephon Castle 7+ assists (-130)<\/a><\/p>\n

Lost in the shuffle at times in San Antonio is the stellar play of Stephon Castle. Last season\u2019s Rookie of the Year has been even better in Year Two. Through 41 games, he\u2019s accounted for 17.1 points, 5.2 rebounds and 7.0 assists. In addition, he\u2019s shooting 47% from the field. A well-rounded, versatile offensive weapon makes for the perfect player to pair up with Victor Wembanyama. Still, there are nights where Castle plays second fiddle to his superstar teammate.<\/p>\n

Even if the UConn alum doesn\u2019t score much, he should make his presence felt tonight. Castle has tallied at least seven assists in 23 of his 42 outings so far. In comparison, the Lakers are allowing the seventh-most assists per game to opponents (27.5). Even without Doncic, Los Angeles should hang around long enough to keep San Antonio\u2019s starters on the floor. Following a 12-assist showing on Saturday vs. Dallas, Castle is well-positioned to reach this total tonight.<\/p>\n

Austin Reaves 3+ three-pointers made (+129)<\/a><\/p>\n

Los Angeles has a legitimate Big Three this season, thanks to Austin Reaves. The fifth-year pro, already a terrific player, has blossomed into a star. Over 27 appearances so far, he\u2019s recorded 25.7 points, 5.1 rebounds and 6.0 assists. Even more impressive, he\u2019s shooting an efficient 51% from the field. Beyond the arc, Reaves is knocking down 36% of his 7.0 three-point attempts per game. The biggest knock on the guard is health; he\u2019s missed almost half of the season due to injury.<\/p>\n

If nothing else, Reaves is someone opposing defenses need to take seriously. San Antonio is terrific on that end of the floor, especially down low. If there\u2019s any weakness for this group, it\u2019s defending the perimeter. Opponents are knocking down 36.2% of their three-point attempts vs. the Spurs. That\u2019s the 11th-highest mark in the NBA this season. Reaves, especially without Doncic, should have the green light from deep.
