Part of its longtime “Beyond the Patch” initiative with the Celtics, Amica Mutual Insurance Company worked to help create an unforgettable game-day experience for that athlete and his family at TD Garden on Sunday, Feb. 1. Per a release, Amica and the Celtics use the initiative to collaborate with organizations across New England to provide a distinct experience to honor such individuals throughout the region. Michael Bullock of East Providence, Rhode Island, was honored, and has been a Special Olympics athlete since 1996 in basketball and track and field.<\/p>\n
A Special Olympics athlete for nearly thirty years, Bullock related that basketball is a special sport for him because \u201cit takes teamwork to play well.\u201d He and his family sat courtside for the game, with behind-the-scenes access to players and an on-court photo session with the Celtics\u2019 team photographer. Bullock was also gifted a jersey pregame.<\/p>\n
