{"id":597263,"date":"2026-02-11T19:01:19","date_gmt":"2026-02-11T19:01:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/nba\/597263\/"},"modified":"2026-02-11T19:01:19","modified_gmt":"2026-02-11T19:01:19","slug":"isaiah-stewart-three-others-suspended-after-pistons-hornets-brawl","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/nba\/597263\/","title":{"rendered":"Isaiah Stewart, three others suspended after Pistons-Hornets brawl"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Four players have been suspended by the NBA <a class=\"link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.latimes.com\/sports\/story\/2026-02-09\/four-players-ejected-after-punches-thrown-pistons-beat-hornets\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">in connection with a brawl<\/a> that broke out during the Detroit Pistons-Charlotte Hornets game Monday night, the league announced Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p>It was the same four players that were ejected during the Pistons\u2019 110-104 victory at Spectrum Center in Charlotte, N.C.<\/p>\n<p>Detroit center Isaiah Stewart was suspended seven games for leaving the bench area, agressively entering an on-court altercation and fighting. This is Stewart\u2019s fifth suspension in his six-year NBA career. One resulted from <a class=\"link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.latimes.com\/sports\/lakers\/story\/2021-11-21\/lakers-vs-pistons-lebron-james-ejected-flagrant-foul-2\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">an altercation with the Lakers\u2019 LeBron James in 2021<\/a> and another from an altercation that spilled into the stands during a game against the Minnesota Timberwolves last year.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe length of Stewart\u2019s suspension is based in part on his repeated history of unsportsmanlike acts,\u201d the NBA said in a statement.<\/p>\n<p>Charlotte forwards Miles Bridges and Moussa Diabat\u00e9 were each suspended four games for fighting and escalating the altercation. Detroit center Jalen Duren received a two-game suspension for initiating the altercation and fighting.<\/p>\n<p>The incident took place midway through the third quarter after Duren was fouled by Diabat\u00e9 while driving toward the basket. Duren approached Diabat\u00e9 and the two men appeared to bump into each other.
