A Stanford University freshman from New Hampshire is dominating college basketball. <\/p>\n

On Wednesday night, Nashua native Ebuka Okorie put on a show at Boston College. <\/p>\n

The 6-foot-2 guard scored 22 points, grabbed four rebounds and dished out five assists in Stanford’s 70-64 win over the Eagles. <\/p>\n

Okorie has been performing at a high level all season, averaging 22 points per game and ranking sixth nationally among Division I players. At just 18, he’s even climbing NBA mock drafts. <\/p>\n

“I feel like me, my family, my close friends, we’re not surprised at all by how I’m playing. It’s just cool to see my hard work paying off and it’s super rewarding.” Okorie said. <\/p>\n

He played high school basketball at Brewster Academy and was New Hampshire’s Gatorade Player of the Year last season. <\/p>\n

“It means a lot because growing up, every kid, everyone aspires to play at this level and just being at this game, seeing all my friends that I used to play with when I was younger still supporting me, still keeping in touch, it just means a lot,” Okorie said. “To just be able to represent Nashua and New Hampshire and hopefully give younger kids some inspiration that they can do this too.”<\/p>\n

Okorie said he has not decided whether he will enter the NBA draft and plans to reassess at the end of the season.<\/p>\n
