There\u2019s no doubt that the Golden State Warriors<\/a> mishandled the Jonathan Kuminga situation in the Bay.<\/p>\n

Before the franchise shipped the NBA champion forward to the Atlanta Hawks<\/a> on Feb. 4, it was clear that something was off with the relationship between the two parties.<\/p>\n

According to a bombshell Warriors report, Golden State accused someone close to Kuminga of taking too much food <\/a>from the family room at\u00a0Chase Center.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe (Kuminga) knew management wanted to ding him for missing a team-requested event and alert him that someone around him was taking too much food from the family room,\u201d ESPN\u2019s Anthony Slater reported Wednesday.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe gripes between player and organization, as multiple sources said, had become \u2018petty\u2019 in the fifth year of a relationship many believed should’ve ended years before.\u201d<\/p>\n

Shortly after Slater\u2019s article was published, Stephen Curry issued a nine-word apology<\/a> to Kuminga for the \u2018ridiculous\u2019 report.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m sorry, bro,\u201d Curry wrote on Instagram. \u201dThis is ridiculous Go be Great.\u201d<\/p>\n

Although Curry isn\u2019t to blame for the Kuminga-Warriors debacle, his powerful social statement directed at the former lottery pick speaks volumes about his character. Curry will always have Kuminga\u2019s back, no matter what, and isn\u2019t going to remain silent\u00a0as the Warriors attempt to drag his name through the mud.<\/p>\n

From Kuminga\u2019s perspective, it must be nice to know that there\u2019s at least one member of the Warriors\u2019 organization that\u2019s looking out for him.<\/p>\n
