Well, any fears of Jared McCain getting trolled for losing to non-NBA players in a celebrity 3-point contest can be put to rest. The 21-year-old comfortably won the StateFarm-sponsored Friday night event.<\/p>\n

It’s been a wild couple of weeks for McCain. He was traded to the Oklahoma City Thunder<\/a> at the NBA trade deadline. With only a few games under his belt with his new squad, he’s still getting accustomed to heightened expectations of a Larry O’Brien trophy.<\/p>\n

Before the Thunder enter the stretch run, the league went on a collective vacation with the 2026 NBA All-Star break. Part of the weekend extravaganza was an NBA celebrity 3-point contest that was held at the NBA Crossover convention center.<\/p>\n

McCain came away as the winner. He scored 12 points in the finals. Streamer PlaqueBoyMax had 10 points. Both advanced from the opening round, that feature six participants.<\/p>\n

In the opening round, McCain led the way with 11 points. PlaqueBoyMax was runner-up with nine points. NBA analyst Richard Jefferson and BMX athlete Nigel Sylvester each had seven points; Druski had five points; Chicago Bears<\/a> QB Caleb Williams had four points.<\/p>\n

The NBA All-Star break highlights the league’s best players \u2014 more importantly though, it allows the multi-billion dollar league to highlight its corporate sponsorships. Injuries have made it a quiet weekend for the Thunder.
