LOS ANGELES \u2013 Several Spurs<\/a> are suiting up for NBA All-Star Weekend<\/a> after losing a teammate.<\/p>\n

Sophomore guard Stephon Castle<\/a> and rookie Dylan Harper<\/a> will take the floor in the Rising Stars game at 8 p.m. Friday.<\/p>\n

The pair was asked about former teammate Jeremy Sochan<\/a>, who was released by the Spurs<\/a> on Wednesday.<\/p>\n

\u201cYeah, I mean, I\u2019ve talked to\u2014 I mean, that\u2019s my guy,\u201d Castle said. \u201cHe\u2019s been here since I\u2019ve been here, too, you know, hanging out all the time off the court, playing video games together.<\/p>\n

\u201cSo, you know, it\u2019s tough,\u201d Castle continued, \u201cbut, you know, I\u2019m happy to see him in a situation that he feels is better.\u201d<\/p>\n

Sochan is set to sign with the New York Knicks, per reports.<\/p>\n

Castle said he is \u201cabsolutely\u201d looking forward to facing Sochan when the Spurs visit Madison Square Garden on March 1.<\/p>\n

While Harper had less time on the roster with Sochan, he described the forward as a great mentor.<\/p>\n

\u201cI mean, he was a great teammate. He was a great vet to me,\u201d Harper said. \u201cI think from day one when I came in, he kind of helped me in the sense of just competing, just learning that tradition.\u201d<\/p>\n

As Sochan moves on from San Antonio, Castle said he is pulling for his friend to do well.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou know, I do want to see him have his joy back while playing basketball,\u201d Castle said.<\/p>\n
