Anthony Edwards<\/a> certainly does not want Jaylen Brown<\/a> around his personal life, serious or joking it seems. Complex Sports released a graphic of an Edwards quote when he was asked which NBA player he would not let date his sister.<\/p>\n

Of course, the Timberwolves star said Brown was the one not allowed to do so! The Boston Celtics star and NBA Finals MVP responded via Twitter\/X. <\/a><\/p>\n

\u201cMy boy Ant been tripping since Bruce Lee died,\u201d Brown wrote. If that\u2019s the case, Edwards has been \u201ctripping\u201d since July 20, 1973 \u2013 Edwards was born on August 5, 2001.<\/p>\n

He may be young, but Edwards has been playing for Minnesota since 2000. The Timberwolves made him the No. 1 overall pick out of Georgia<\/a> that year.<\/p>\n

Since then, he\u2019s been a four-time NBA-All Star, twice named to the All-NBA Second Team and was on the NBA All-Rookie First Team. Edwards even drew praise from Georgia head coach Mike White<\/a> recently.<\/p>\n

In the current state of college basketball, there are a handful of players vying for extra eligibility despite going pro. The recent case of Charles Bediako at Alabama caused a lot of angst outside Tuscaloosa.<\/p>\n

\u201cYeah,\u201d White told Paul Finebaum.<\/a> \u201cRick (Barnes) doesn\u2019t know (Anthony Edwards is) going to suit up (Wednesday) for us.\u201d<\/p>\n

He played at Georgia during the 2019-20 season under Tom Crean. Edwards averaged 19.1 points, 5.2 rebounds and 1.3 steals per game, doing a little bit of everything for the Bulldogs.<\/p>\n

Some coaches have had some pointed arguments on the situation, such as Tom Izzo, Mark Few and John Calipari. White said, \u201cto each his own.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cAll of us are going to make individual decisions,\u201d White said. \u201cI know Coach Oats at Alabama just got a big back in Bediako, who\u2019s a tremendous talent who won a lot of games, and I\u2019m sure he\u2019ll be a great addition. I thought he played really well the other night. And you just don\u2019t know all of the factors that went into that decision.<\/p>\n
