The 2026 NBA All-Star Game weekend delivered nostalgia through Mac McClung<\/a>. The veteran didn\u2019t participate in this year\u2019s event as a member of the Chicago Bulls now<\/a>. Yet still stole the spotlight \u2014 which got Phoenix Suns<\/a> fans thinking about Steve Nash and Amar\u2019e Stoudemire.<\/p>\n

McClung helped release a series of online videos after the \u201926 dunk contest completed. The fourth one, though, looked reminiscent of the famed Nash-Stoudemire headbutt dunk.<\/p>\n

Nash and Stoudemire created an epic soccer-like dunk<\/a> back in the 2005 NBA All-Star game. McClung literally becomes the first to reenact that dunk despite not joining the festivities in Inglewood.<\/p>\n

McClung likely would\u2019ve entered the Intuit Dome as the heavy favorite to win again.<\/p>\n

Except this year he opted to take a year off.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think there was just back and forth of us being like this, and then they were calling me, being like \u2018People didn\u2019t want to do it if I was doing it,\u2019 and I thought it\u2019s best if I just sit out this year and let it be, no matter what,\u201d McClung said.<\/p>\n

Another words \u2014 McClung opted to allow this year\u2019s version to become more competitive without him. Participants would\u2019ve faced feeling like they lost with the presence of McClung.<\/p>\n

McClung is on a two-way deal with the Bulls<\/a>, which he signed back on Feb. 5 on NBA Trade Deadline day. He can continue to bounce between the NBA and G-League.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Keshad Johnson of the Miami Heat<\/a> claimed this year\u2019s dunk title with an assist via famed rapper E-40.<\/p>\n
