The Atlanta Hawks<\/a> were among the most active franchises during this season\u2019s NBA trade deadline.<\/p>\n

In addition to trading Trae Young to the Washington Wizards<\/a> for CJ McCollum and Corey Kispert, Atlanta acquired Buddy Hield and Jonathan Kuminga in a trade sending Kristaps Porzingis to the Golden State Warriors<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The offseason will give the Hawks another opportunity to make beneficial moves to help\u00a0shape their future. In a stunning proposed trade crafted by ClutchPoints, the Hawks would land a 24-year-old Minnesota Timberwolves superstar.<\/a><\/p>\n

Considering Edwards has a good thing going in Minnesota, it\u2019s unlikely he\u2019ll entertain the idea of leaving the Timberwolves<\/a> anytime soon. Minnesota has reached the Western Conference Finals in back-to-back seasons and will only get better with time.<\/p>\n

Atlanta, on the other hand, is a rebuilding franchise that doesn’t have all the pieces necessary to transition swiftly into win-now mode. Why would Edwards be interested in joining an organization that is further from winning a championship than Minnesota?<\/p>\n

The answer is he probably wouldn\u2019t be, making ClutchPoints\u2019 trade idea a fantasy instead of a realistic offseason scenario.<\/p>\n
