With so much youth on the Hawks’ roster, there is still a lot of development that can take place. Johnson, who has taken the role of the franchise player, is just 24 years old. Given that, there is no rush to build a team by trading major assets.

While that can certainly be an option in the future, the Hawks want to maintain flexibility. Based on how this season has gone, the best option is to play out the second half of the season and reevaluate in the offseason. So, with many options now at their fingertips, the future is starting to look bright again in Atlanta.

The post The Atlanta Hawks Made the Right Moves at the Deadline appeared first on The Lead.

On Feb. 5, the Atlanta Hawks were 26-27 and found themselves just four games back of the Philadelphia…

[3776
495,676,208,3874,7,75,247,7046,149,2619,2878,6913,370,677,2990,77,3692,867,871,150,1171,6449,6,379,207,471,1020,5291,494,278,7477,468,1246
0":"post-608781","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-atlanta-hawks","8":"tag-anthony-davis","9":"tag-atlanta","10":"tag-atlanta-hawks","11":"tag-atlantahawks","12":"tag-basketball","13":"tag-boston-celtics","14":"tag-brooklyn-nets","15":"tag-cj-mccollum","16":"tag-dallas-mavericks","17":"tag-daniel-gafford","18":"tag-dejounte-murray","19":"tag-duop-reath","20":"tag-gabe-vincent","21":"tag-hawks","22":"tag-jalen-johnson","23":"tag-jayson-tatum","24":"tag-jock-landale","25":"tag-jonathan-kuminga","26":"tag-kristaps-porzingis","27":"tag-los-angeles-lakers","28":"tag-luke-kennard","29":"tag-mouhamed-gueye","30":"tag-nba","31":"tag-nickeil-alexander-walker","32":"tag-philadelphia-76ers","33":"tag-portland-trail-blazers","34":"tag-saddiq-bey","35":"tag-the-hawks","36":"tag-trae-young","37":"tag-tyrese-haliburton","38":"tag-vit-krejci","39":"tag-washington-wizards","40":"tag-zaccharie-risacher
["GET
