After a brief departure at the trade deadline, Mike Conley is officially back with the Minnesota Timberwolves.<\/p>\n
Minnesota initially traded Conley to Chicago on Feb. 3 as part of a three-team trade that also involved Detroit. The Timberwolves didn\u2019t receive any players in the trade; rather, it was a play to dump salary and get the team below the first apron.<\/p>\n
RELATED: Timberwolves trade Mike Conley Jr. in 3-team deal to create financial and roster flexibility<\/a><\/p>\n On Feb. 4, Chicago shipped Conley off to Charlotte, who bought out his contract and dropped him to waivers the next day.<\/p>\n If Conley hadn\u2019t been traded a second time, the Wolves wouldn\u2019t have been able to sign him again.
