{"id":610712,"date":"2026-02-19T01:22:30","date_gmt":"2026-02-19T01:22:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/nba\/610712\/"},"modified":"2026-02-19T01:22:30","modified_gmt":"2026-02-19T01:22:30","slug":"warriors-give-seth-curry-steph-currys-younger-brother-injury-update","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/nba\/610712\/","title":{"rendered":"Warriors give Seth Curry, Steph Curry&#8217;s younger brother, injury update"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>SAN FRANCISCO \u2014 Seth Curry, the younger brother of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mercurynews.com\/2026\/02\/17\/steph-curry-injury-update-kristaps-porzingis-warriors\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Warriors superstar Steph<\/a>, still has a ways to go before he returns to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mercurynews.com\/2026\/02\/18\/warriors-questions-curry-porzingis-moody-melton-santos\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Golden State rotation<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Seth Curry has missed the past 24 games with sciatica, and the Warriors announced on Wednesday that he will be re-evaluated in two weeks.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe re-evaluation indicated that Curry continues to make good progress,\u201d the press release read. \u201cHe will begin to intensify his on-court workouts this week, including live play.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He has been participating in on-court workouts since at least Jan. 31, which is the last time the Warriors sent out a similar release stating Curry would be re-evaluated in two weeks.<\/p>\n<p>Curry led the league in 3-point percentage (45.6%) in 68 games for his hometown Charlotte Hornets last season, and has made 43.3% of his long-range shots over the course of his 11-year career.<\/p>\n<p>He wowed in his Warriors and a sold-out Chase Center crowd during his debut on Dec. 1 against the defending NBA champion <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mercurynews.com\/2025\/12\/02\/warriors-give-thunder-everything-they-can-handle-in-spirited-effort-that-falls-just-short\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Thunder, making 6 of 7 shots<\/a> and scoring 14 points in 17 minutes.<\/p>\n<p>The Warriors had brought Curry in for training camp, but because of the salary cap, they were unable to sign him to the regular-season roster until enough time had passed and his pro-rated salary did not push the Warriors above the restrictive second apron.<\/p>\n<p>Curry then went 0 of 2 in a Dec. 4 matchup in Philadelphia, which is the last time he stepped on the court.
