The ex-Denver Nuggets star was let go from the network in a brutal round of cuts in 2023.<\/a><\/p>\n

Rose began a career in broadcasting after retiring from basketball in 2007.<\/p>\n

He worked as an analyst on ESPN for over a decade before his unexpected firing.<\/a><\/p>\n

Reports suggest Rose could now be set for a return \u2013 at least on a temporary basis.<\/p>\n

Rose \u201cwill be back on ESPN Friday night as part of the TNT-produced NBA studio coverage\u201d, according to Sports Media Watch<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The report added that Shaq will return for Saturday and Sunday\u2019s edition of Inside the NBA. <\/p>\n

\u201cThought he was so much better filling in with the TNT crew than he ever was on ESPN,\u201d said another. <\/p>\n

Rose was hired by TNT Sports in 2024<\/a> appear on its studio coverage of Big 12 men\u2019s basketball.\u00a0<\/p>\n

During his college career, Rose starred for Michigan\u2019s Fab Five in the 1990s.<\/p>\n

Over three years, Rose played in 102 games for Michigan, averaging 17.5 points, 4.7 rebounds and 3.9 assists.<\/p>\n

The guard went on to enjoy a lengthy NBA<\/a> career, playing for six different teams over a 13-year period.<\/p>\n

Rose averaged 14.3 points, 3.8 assists and 3.5 rebounds over 923 total career games.<\/p>\n

He now contributes to Big Ten men\u2019s basketball coverage for NBC and Peacock.<\/p>\n
