However, there’s more to basketball than just stats. Chemistry matters, and the resurfacing of the subject of Durant burner accounts on X may put a wrench in Houston’s 2026 championship dreams. During All-Star Weekend, fans pointed to an X account that provided unfiltered opinions on NBA<\/a> topics as possibly a Durant burner account, like the one that stirred controversy back in 2017.<\/p>\n

While the forward claims his team is locked in<\/a> for the remainder of the season, he cannot stop people from talking about it.<\/p>\n

Draymond Green<\/a> is one of the folks who gave their two cents on the matter. The Golden State Warriors<\/a> forward shared his thoughts on the Durant situation, and his take drew reactions from fans.<\/p>\n

Draymond Green Thinks the Rockets Locker Room Is Awkward<\/p>\n

During the latest episode of “The Draymond Green Show,” the four-time NBA champion called his former teammate’s situation in the Rockets locker room strange.<\/p>\n

“Walking back into practice after the break \u2026 into the locker room, it probably [feels] like a ‘Key & Peele’ sketch,” Green said. “Just like a little awkward, like what do you do? ‘Uh, what’s up bro?’ I don’t know.”<\/p>\n

He then clarified that nothing has been proven yet to maintain his neutrality: “But anyway, these are alleged. It’s alleged to be KD’s burner account. Maybe one day, we’ll know the truth. Maybe we already know the truth.”<\/p>\n

Fans immediately started talking after Green unleashed his take.<\/p>\n

One asked Green to look at the mirror before saying anything. “The same way you walked back into practice after slugging a teammate,” was the fan’s response<\/a> to his question, alleging to his incident with former teammate Jordan Poole.<\/p>\n

Another fan speculated that the rumors are actually correct. “The way KD answered the question about it tells me it’s definitely him,” they remarked<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Durant and the Rockets will face Green and the Warriors two more times this season: at the Toyota Center on March 5 and at the Chase Center on April 5.<\/p>\n
