Donovan Clingan finished with 23 points, 12 rebounds, and four blocked shots and Jerami Grant added 23 points on 9-of-13 shooting as the Portland Trail Blazers defeated the Phoenix Suns 92-77 Sunday evening at Mortgage Matchup Center in Phoenix, Arizona.<\/p>\n
Both the Suns and Trail Blazers struggled on offense in the first half. Phoenix (33-25) led 27-26 midway thru the second but the two teams were a combined 3-of-29 from beyond-the-arc and each team was 11-of-33 shooting.<\/p>\n
Portland (28-30) took control of the game with a 19-9 run over the final 5:53 of the first half and took a 47-40 lead into the locker room.<\/p>\n
The Blazers would extend their lead to 20 late in the third and the Suns trailed by double-digits the rest of the way.<\/p>\n
Deni Avdija exited the game just one-minute into the first quarter with a back injury and did not return.<\/p>\n
Toumani Camara finished with 12 points and 11 rebounds and Scoot Henderson added 11 points and six assists off the bench.<\/p>\n
