Bronny James was the center of attention during the 2024 Summer League, but not for positive reasons.<\/p>\n

The 21\u2013year-old Los Angeles Lakers<\/a> guard was selected by the 17-time NBA champions with the No. 55 overall pick despite an underwhelming freshman season at USC.<\/p>\n

As a result, many believed that James wasn\u2019t a legitimate NBA player or a professional player in general. Boston Celtics<\/a> superstar Jaylen Brown was one of those individuals, as he was caught on camera stating that he didn’t believe James was a pro<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Nearly two years later, James\u2019 father, LeBron, responded to Brown\u2019s viral remarks with an eight-word message<\/a> regarding his current relationship with the former lottery pick.<\/p>\n

\u201cOther than that (Brown\u2019s comments about Bronny during Summer League), we\u2019ve been all right,\u201d James said after the Lakers\u2019 111-89 Sunday night loss to the Celtics.<\/p>\n

It appears that James\u2019 relationship with Brown was solid in late February. Will the two standout forwards ever become best buddies off the court? It\u2019s unlikely, considering James won\u2019t find it easy to befriend someone who blatantly disrespected his son (even though his statement has aged well).<\/p>\n

However, there\u2019s no reason to believe the two can\u2019t remain cordial moving forward and respect each other\u2019s masterful contributions on the hardwood. James is averaging 21.7 points, 7.1 assists, and 5.7 rebounds per game, while Brown is averaging 29.2 points, 7.0 rebounds, and 4.9 assists per contest this season.<\/p>\n

Judging by James\u2019 latest comments about Brown, there\u2019s no bad blood between the two future Hall of Famers.<\/p>\n
