Dallas Mavericks<\/a> rookie forward Cooper Flagg has been ruled out of playing Tuesday on the road against the Brooklyn Nets<\/a>, the team announced.<\/p>\n Flagg suffered a left midfoot sprain on Feb. 10 during a 120-111 loss to the\u00a0Phoenix Suns<\/a>.\u00a0He will miss his fourth straight game against the Nets because of the injury, which also prevented him from playing in the Rising Stars Game on Feb. 13.<\/p>\n Mavericks coach Jason Kidd said Monday after practice that Flagg looked “good” during a workout, according to Mike Curtis of the Dallas Morning News. Kidd has previously indicated that Flagg is considered day-to-day with the injury.<\/p>\n Flagg is averaging 20.4 points, 6.6 rebounds, 4.1 assists and 1.2 steals on 48.2% shooting from the field in 49 games. He is second among rookies in total scoring (999) and has the most 30-point games by a first-year player since Victor Wembanyama in 2023-24 (7).<\/p>\n The No. 1 overall pick was named the Western Conference Rookie of the Month for the third straight time. He and\u00a0Charlotte Hornets<\/a>\u00a0guard Kon Knueppel are the only two players to win Rookie of the Month this season, beginning in October and November.<\/p>\n
