He’s been one of our highest plus-minus players. He’s a very versatile player. The rebounding is what attracted us to him in the first place, coming out of Santa Clara. When a guy rebounds like that, you know he has great anticipation.”

Podziemski filled up the stat sheet with 18 points, 15 rebounds, nine assists, and made 3 of 7 3-point attempts in 37 minutes against Denver.

While Podziemski is capable of this level of production, the biggest concern with the 22-year-old has been his consistency on a game-to-game basis.

“It’s really more of a matter of finding that sweet spot that we’re trying to get him to where he’s making plays, but he’s not dominating the ball,” Kerr shared.

“That’s his next step, and you can see tonight there was a little of both, and he got himself in trouble a couple of times, but when he gets off it, and then the ball starts moving, then he gets it back, it’s totally different. The defense is closing out on him. He can use that leverage to get past people, make a pass, and score a layup. So, he’s a really unique player, but he’s still finding his way.”

During the 2025-26 NBA season, Podziemski is averaging 12.1 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 3.7 assists per game and shooting 45.1 percent from the field and 37.1 percent from 3-point range through 57 contests.

With 25 games left to play for the Warriors, Podziemski has the opportunity to play a big role in Golden State’s chase for a playoff spot, especially with Steph Curry expected to be sidelined for at least three more games.

Download and follow the Dubs Talk Podcast

Brandin Podziemski had himself a day during the Warriors’ shorthanded win against the Denver Nuggets on Sunday.
