Al Horford<\/a> became just the second player 39 or older in NBA history to have six-plus made 3-pointers as well as seven or more assists in a game when he accomplished the feat in the Warriors\u2019 128-117 win<\/a> over the Denver Nuggets on Sunday at Chase Center.<\/p>\n The only other player to put those numbers up is the seemingly ageless LeBron James, and while Al Horford hasn\u2019t publicly stated that he had to give up wine and cookies<\/a>, clearly something the veteran is doing has been working.<\/p>\n Over the span of his 19 NBA seasons, Horford has racked up 1,032 made treys and 3,719 assists, which puts Big Al\u2019s career in extremely rare company.<\/p>\n Since the 3-point line was adopted in 1979, just six NBA big men have 1,000 made threes and more than 3,500 dimes: Horford, James, Kevin Durant, Paul Pierce, Tracy McGrady and Dirk Nowitzki, per SportRadar.<\/p>\n The latter three of that group — who all have retired — are members of the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame, with Nowitzki being the most-recent inductee in 2023<\/a>.<\/p>\n Horford on Sunday also became the oldest center in NBA history to knock down five-plus 3-pointers<\/a> in a half.<\/p>\n The 39-year-old has been a steady presence for the Warriors this season, averaging 7.9 points, 4.9 rebounds and 2.5 assists per game while shooting 35.4 percent from beyond the arc in 36 games played.<\/p>\n In February, Horford has seen his production rise, however, as his points per game has jumped up to 10.9 while also adding 3.4 assists per game.<\/p>\n The Warriors, who were without Draymond Green<\/a> on Sunday due to back soreness<\/a>, can use all of the help they can get from the five-time NBA All-Star.<\/p>\n
