Coming out of the All-Star break, the Los Angeles Lakers<\/a> barely beat a hobbled Los Angeles Clippers<\/a> squad and then lost back-to-back games to the Boston Celtics and Orlando Magic<\/a>. They sit in sixth place in the Western Conference with a 34-23 record, and on Thursday, they will visit the Phoenix Suns<\/a>, who are in seventh place with a 33-26 record.<\/p>\n

Backup center Jaxson Hayes had to exit Sunday’s game<\/a> early due to an ankle sprain and missed Tuesday’s game<\/a> as a result. He’s listed as probable for Thursday’s contest, but key reserve forward Rui Hachimura is questionable due to an illness.<\/p>\n

Hachimura had 10 points in 26 minutes on Tuesday. The Lakers will miss his ability to light it up from 3-point range and provide supplemental scoring. On the season, he’s averaging 11.7 points on 50.6% overall shooting and 44% from downtown, and he has done well in his new role as a reserve ever since being reassigned to the bench in mid-January.<\/p>\n
