{"id":627022,"date":"2026-02-26T23:25:13","date_gmt":"2026-02-26T23:25:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/nba\/627022\/"},"modified":"2026-02-26T23:25:13","modified_gmt":"2026-02-26T23:25:13","slug":"orlando-magic-guard-desmond-bane-fined-second-time-by-nba","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.rawchili.com\/nba\/627022\/","title":{"rendered":"Orlando Magic guard Desmond Bane fined second time by NBA"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>For the second time this season, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.orlandosentinel.com\/2026\/02\/25\/orlando-magic-los-angeles-la-lakers-crypto-arena-paolo-banchero-wendell-carter-jalen-suggs-franz-wagner-folo-rockets-kia-center-nba-clutch-jamahl-mosley\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Desmond Bane<\/a> has been fined by the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.orlandosentinel.com\/2026\/02\/25\/orlando-magic-los-angeles-la-lakers-crypto-arena-paolo-banchero-wendell-carter-jalen-suggs-franz-wagner-folo-rockets-kia-center-nba-clutch-jamahl-mosley\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">NBA<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.orlandosentinel.com\/2026\/02\/25\/orlando-magic-los-angeles-la-lakers-crypto-arena-paolo-banchero-wendell-carter-jalen-suggs-franz-wagner-folo-rockets-kia-center-nba-clutch-jamahl-mosley\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Magic<\/a> guard was hit with a $25,000 fine \u201cfor throwing the game ball with force into the spectator stands,\u201d the league announced ahead of Thursday\u2019s game between <a href=\"https:\/\/www.orlandosentinel.com\/2026\/02\/25\/orlando-magic-los-angeles-la-lakers-crypto-arena-paolo-banchero-wendell-carter-jalen-suggs-franz-wagner-folo-rockets-kia-center-nba-clutch-jamahl-mosley\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Orlando<\/a> and Houston at Kia Center.<\/p>\n<p>The incident occurred at the end of Orlando\u2019s 110-109 victory over the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.orlandosentinel.com\/2026\/02\/25\/orlando-magic-los-angeles-la-lakers-crypto-arena-paolo-banchero-wendell-carter-jalen-suggs-franz-wagner-folo-rockets-kia-center-nba-clutch-jamahl-mosley\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Lakers<\/a> at Crypto.com Arena on Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p>After Los Angeles star LeBron James missed a game-winning 3-pointer at the buzzer, Bane can be seen on video throwing the ball with one hand from the restricted area of the paint to the other end of the court.<\/p>\n<p>The ball then hit the side of the 24-second shot clock above the basket and bounced onto fans sitting in the first row of the baseline.<\/p>\n<p>Bane was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.orlandosentinel.com\/2025\/12\/08\/orlando-magic-nba-fine-desmond-bane-og-anunoby-new-york-knicks\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">previously fined $35,000<\/a> for \u201cthrowing the game ball with force at an opponent in an unsportsmanlike manner\u201d during the fourth quarter of Orlando\u2019s 106-100 loss at New York on Dec. 7.<\/p>\n<p>Jason Beede can be reached at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.orlandosentinel.com\/2026\/02\/26\/orlando-magic-desmond-bane-nba-fine-los-angeles-lakers-crypto-arena-jamahl-mosley\/mailto:jbeede@orlandosentinel.com\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">jbeede@orlandosentinel.com<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"For the second time this season, Desmond Bane has been fined by the NBA.
