The Minnesota Timberwolves were in Los Angeles last night<\/a> playing against a shell of the LA Clippers, who were missing all of their best players, including Kawhi Leonard, Darius Garland and John Collins.<\/p>\n As we\u2019ve seen far too often this season, when matched up against lesser opponents, the Wolves came out like they were shot out of a cannon that nobody lit.<\/p>\n Even with the Clippers shooting<\/a> 23% from deep (5\/22) and 43% from the floor, last night\u2019s victory came right down to the wire and included some theatrics between Anthony Edwards and head coach Chris Finch.<\/p>\n Anthony Edwards seals game, screams at MN Timberwolves head coach<\/p>\n With the Timberwolves leading by one point and just 50 seconds left<\/a> in the fourth quarter, Anthony Edwards dribbled from half-court, to the left wing, where he was immediately double-teamed.<\/p>\n But instead of passing out of it, Ant did a couple of hesitation dribbles, followed by a step back\u2026 and launched from deep over two defenders *swish*\u2026 to put Minnesota up 92-88 with 45 seconds left. They\u2019d go on to win 94-88.<\/p>\n Immediately after, Edwards hunted down his head coach and screamed at him, \u201cThat\u2019s what I do. That\u2019s what I fucking do\u201d. In his postgame interview, the 24-year-old<\/a> superstar revealed that Finch had told him to pass the ball one possession earlier, when he missed a mid-range jumper.<\/p>\n Anthony Edwards missed a midrange shot and his coach told him to pass the ball. He was 1\/5 from three-point land before he hit that game-sealing deep ball.<\/p>\n Back in the locker room after the win, Ant held another classic media scrum in front of his locker where he told reporters that, even if the right basketball move on the above possession was to pass the ball, the Minnesota Timberwolves are more likely to win if he shoots it.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n And after watching that three fall through the net, how can you argue with him? It\u2019s worth noting, however, that Finch denied during his postgame presser that he ever told Edwards not to shoot the basketball one possession earlier.<\/p>\n So either someone is lying or there was a serious miscommunication between the Wolves superstar and their head coach last night that resulted in a Wolves victory.
