Nobody expected the Boston Celtics to be this good. In fact, coming into the season, more people thought the Boston would be a play-in team than a contending team. In truth, those expectations were fair. Jayson Tatum had just gone down with an Achilles injury, and Brad Stevens had ushered in a retooling phase for the franchise.<\/p>\n
However, led by Jaylen Brown, who is having an MVP-like season, Boston has somehow continued to be a powerhouse in the Eastern Conference. Joe Mazzulla’s team has been so good that people are now talking about the potential to contend for a championship if Jayson Tatum makes an in-season return to the rotation.<\/p>\n
