An offensive masterclass saw the Boston Celtics<\/a> secure a blowout 148-111 win over the Brooklyn Nets on Friday, Feb. 27. The win ensured Joe Mazzulla\u2019s team bounced back from a disappointing loss to the Denver Nuggets on Wednesday, Feb. 25.<\/p>\n

After a first half that saw the Nets remain within touching distance of the Celtics<\/a> (Boston led 66-57 at halftime), Boston took its offensive production to another level in the third quarter. In those 12 minutes, the Celtics scored 43 points, allowing Brooklyn to score just 26. By the end of the fourth quarter, the Celtics had won the final two quarters 82-54. There\u2019s no doubt about it, we witnessed an offensive clinic.<\/p>\n

When speaking with the media after the game, Nets forward Noah Clowney detailed why the Celtics can be so difficult to contain once they\u2019ve found their rhythm.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey got open, and they did not miss when they got open,\u201d Clowney said. \u201cThey drive, we help, they kick, swing the ball over and over and over and over. To be honest, they have players who are very hard to guard one-on-one, so they require help. Somebody\u2019s open, and at that point we\u2019re scrambling, and we didn\u2019t scramble good enough.\u201d<\/p>\n

Boston went 22-of-34 from deep (64.7%) during its win over Brooklyn. Even for a team that\u2019s currently third in three-point makes<\/a> and tenth in three-point percentage on the season, that level of collective marksmanship is still impressive.<\/p>\n

Nevertheless, the challenge for the Celtics will be continuing to find success on the offensive end as we head into the stretch run of the regular season. Mazzulla\u2019s team has a tough task up next with a game against the Philadelphia 76ers on Sunday, March 1. If they can continue to create easy scoring opportunities at will, they will be in with a chance to add another impressive win to their growing stockpile.<\/p>\n
