On Saturday, the USC men\u2019s basketball team<\/a> fell 82-67 to Nebraska at Galen Center. With the loss, the Trojans dropped to 18-11 on the season and 7-11 in Big Ten play.<\/p>\n

Five straight losses<\/p>\n

A few weeks ago, USC had won four out of five games, and it appeared as though the Trojans might be getting back on track. Since then, however, they have lost five in a row, and now sit closer to the bottom of the Big Ten standings than the top.<\/p>\n

Disastrous second half<\/p>\n

USC actually played well in the first half, leading a Nebraska team currently ranked No. 12 in the country by five at the break. In an all too familiar story, however, the Trojans completely fell apart defensively in the second half, giving up 51 points and losing the game by 15.<\/p>\n

When it rains, it pours<\/p>\n

USC has already had a ridiculous amount of injury issues this season. On Saturday, it got even worse, as Chad Baker-Mazara appeared to re-aggravate his knee early in the second half<\/a> and did not return for the rest of the game.<\/p>\n

Tournament hopes basically dead<\/p>\n

With only two more regular season games and the Big Ten Tournament remaining, USC\u2019s NCAA Tournament hopes are practically dead. At this point, it would take something truly remarkable for the Trojans to avoid missing the Big Dance for the third consecutive year.<\/p>\n
