The Portland Trail Blazers are signing rookie guard Chris Youngblood to a two-way contract, ESPN\u2019s Shams Charania reported on Monday.<\/p>\n
Youngblood, 24, signed a two-way deal with the Oklahoma City Thunder in October after going unselected in the 2025 NBA Draft out of the University of Alabama. The 6-foot-4 guard appeared in 32 games for the Thunder, averaging just 5.4 minutes and 2.0 points per game. As a two-way player, Youngblood used up all 50 of his available games on OKC\u2019s active roster, leading the Thunder to waive him on Feb. 9.<\/p>\n
Youngblood saw much more playing time with the Thunder\u2019s G League affiliate, the OKC Blue. In 10 appearances with the Blue, he averaged 23.7 points, 6.8 rebounds, 3.6 assists, 1.8 steals and 34.8 minutes per game while shooting 46.9% from the field and 32.7% from beyond the 3-point arc on 9.8 attempts.<\/p>\n
By signing Youngblood, the Blazers have filled their third and final two-way spot. The other two spots are filled by guards Javonte Cooke and Caleb Love, who has just five games left on the active roster before he hits the 50-game limit. Blazers forward Sidy Cissoko, who began the season on a two-way deal, had his deal converted to a standard contract in February.<\/p>\n
