The Dallas Mavericks<\/a> are on the road on Thursday night as they travel to face off against the Orlando Magic<\/a> in an interconference matchup.<\/p>\n

For Dallas, it has been a tough season thus far as they currently sit 12th in the Western Conference standings with a 21-40 record and they enter Thursday\u2019s matchup amid a four-game losing streak.<\/p>\n

The Mavericks will now try to end their losing skid against the Magic on Wednesday and they received positive injury news regarding two of their key players ahead of the matchup.<\/p>\n

Ahead of Wednesday\u2019s game in Orlando, Dallas announced that star rookie Cooper Flagg<\/a> has been upgraded to questionable while Klay Thompson<\/a> has been upgraded to probable.<\/p>\n

Of course, Flagg has been sidelined since February 12 due to a left midfoot sprain but there is a chance he could return on Wednesday against the Magic, which would be a major boost for the Mavericks.<\/p>\n

This season, the 19-year-old forward is averaging<\/a> 20.4 points, 6.6 rebounds, 4.1 assists and 1.2 steals per game while shooting 48.2% from the field and 30.2% from three.<\/p>\n

While Flagg could return on Thursday, Dallas may also elect to rest him at least one more game and if that is the case, Naji Marshall, Caleb Martin and Brandon Williams could all be in line for increased roles until the 2025 first overall pick is cleared to return.<\/p>\n

On the other side, Thompson has been listed as probable and is expected to return on Wednesday after missing Tuesday\u2019s loss to the Charlotte Hornets<\/a> due to a left adductor contusion.<\/p>\n

Of course, Thompson has played a key role for Dallas off the bench this season and his return on Thursday could be a major boost to the Mavericks\u2019 rotation, especially offensively.<\/p>\n

This season, the 36-year-old forward is averaging<\/a> 11.5 points, 2.3 rebounds and 1.4 assists per game while shooting 38.7% from the field and 37.8% from three.<\/p>\n

For Dallas, they will now try to end their four-game losing streak on Thursday in Orlando as they are set to get back Thompson, and possibly Flagg, as they try to make a late push for the final Play-In spot in the Western Conference before the end of the regular season.<\/p>\n
